Spring has sprung and we are enjoying spending our days out doors again!  The kiddos are so happy to be outside and soaking up the sunshine.  We have new pets this spring: 2 mini horses that adore the kids, 2 baby goats, and a new batch of chicks.  With that being said remember your sunblock and to drink extra water to stay hydrated!  Spring is always exciting for us, we enjoy checking the garden, picking flowers, exploring the different things blooming, checking for eggs, brushing the animals, feeding the chickens. We have a few new friends that have joined us recently.  I can say I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to be with these kids each day to watch them learn and grow.  I want to thank all of my parents for sharing them with me!

Well we have been busy this month, making sure to take every advantage of the sunshine!  We got the garden planted and have fun checking for new sprouts, so far we have corn, green beans and strawberries sprouting.  Last week we even had some asparagus that was ready to pick, it was fun getting to try our own food out of the garden!

About Me

katie barlow I am a 31 year old mother of 2 school aged girls. I am a Oregon native, from Roseburg. I grew up with two older sisters and a younger brother on a ranch. We were very involved with our animals and 4-H as livestock has always been what my family has done. I have been providing daycare in our home for many years. I have had some of the greatest experiences with my daycare kids, having the opportunity to watch them learn and grow. I have a AAS in the medical field and worked in doctors offices when my girls were little and as a single mom struggled with finding responsible, reliable, trustworthy providers to leave my babies with. After several attempts and difficulties I decided to resign from my job and stay home with my girls. I had the intention to stay with them until my youngest was in school full time.... needless to say she has been for 2 yrs and I am still here! I haven't found myself wanting to return to work. I adore the kids and love what I do!
